Baby Food Giveaway A Big Success

March 16, 2010 · Leave a Comment

I was so busy during the Baby Food Giveaway that I didn’t get pictures with my camera so the pictures shown are of the volunteers posing. We had lots of volunteers and that made the giveaway go smoothly. It really was a privilege to be able to give food away to families who could really use it! I’m sure more pics are to come. We have video as well. Here’s a tiny glimpse at the crew.

The Book Of Eli

January 16, 2010 · 3 Comments

Go see it! It’s a powerful movie! Wow is all I can say. If we have ever wondered what it was like for Abraham, Issac and Jacob, for Peter and Paul and James, this will give you a glimpse. If we have nothing else but a word from the Lord what grace we’d live in! Praise you Lord for this movie! It was an inspiration! Oh to walk by that kind of faith!

Things That Make Me Go “Huh?”

Some things are too hard for me to understand. Click Here.

LONDON – Parish priest Tim Jones says it’s OK to shoplift at times as long as you don’t take more than you need — but British police, retailers and clergy disagree.
Jones says people in desperate need may at times be justified shoplifting items from large chain stores. He serves a village in York 220 miles (355 kilometers) north of London.
He defended his comments Tuesday despite much criticism, saying society is wrong to ignore the desperate plight of many poor people.
The Archdeacon of York, Richard Seed, has released a statement saying the Church of England does not condone shoplifting. North Yorkshire Police have followed suit, pointing out that shoplifting is a crime.
The British Retail Consortium also condemned Jones’ views.

It’s How You Look At It

When Larry King was interviewing Bishop T.D. Jakes he said that some had accused Bishop Jakes of being a Hope Peddler. Bishop Jakes said it was a compliment. I agree. We need hope. The bible says Hope deferred makes a heart sick. I believe that.
